Mr. Zavanelli began work as a private
in the US Army, rising to the level of Commander of a nuclear
weapon battery. He graduated Bernard Baruch College (first
in his class in Economics and Finance) in two years, then
becoming a research assistant at Columbia University's Graduate
School of Business. He has been an Investment Strategist at
American National Bank in Chicago, then a Senior Financial
Analyst at Mellon Bank. From 1990 through 1994 he held the
position of Distinguished George Professor, Chair of Applied
Investments and Research at Stetson University. Mr. Zavanelli
is the founder and Chairman of the Board of the first investment
fund in Lithuania, the NSEL 30 Index Fund. Zavanelli holds
the lifetime chess title of International Master, and is responsible
for all official United States chess interactions (including
that of the US Olympic team). Zavanelli is well recognized
as expert in neglected stocks, splits, spin-offs, buybacks,
market anomalies and investment behavior. The Zavanelli team
has provided equities management and/or research advisory
